R-Series Waterjets

Many of our customers have a need for a machine larger than the Z-2543, so WARDJet created the R-Series waterjet system. This high precision helical rack and split pinion unit has been designed to meet even the largest requirements while holding very tight tolerances.

A 14’ (4.3m) crossbeam is standard, but as with all things WARDJET, the cross beam can be made shorter or longer depending upon your needs. The length of the X-axis can also be customized. Additional racks can always be added because the X-axis is rack and pinion. The Y-axis operates using a ball screw drive mechanism up to 15’ (4.6m) long and rack and pinion for longer cross beams.

An optional 36” (0.9m) Z-axis can also be utilized to further expand the capabilities of your waterjet. Another exciting possibility with the R-Series to further separate you from your competition is that the tank of the R-Series does not have to cover the entire cutting envelope of the gantry. This allows the possibility to leave some of the cutting area open to place taller objects under the gantry.
